Ltd
ITS Feda are proud to announce that at the
end of January we were awarded the internationally recognised ISO
9001:2000 status. This affirmation of our continued excellent
standards and commitment to service quality was welcomed by our
Managing Director, Penny Price who said “This recognition of our

ITS Free Events -Dates for your
diary
The ever popular ITS
annual conference is back, and this year we are extending the
venues! There are two dates planned, Manchester on
the 26th of April and Blagdon,
near Bristol, on the 27th of April. These fantastic free events
offer a great chance for you to network with other IT professionals,
experience new technologies and speak to a broad range of experts.
Be sure to look out for your invite and the finalised agenda coming
soon.

Novell and ITS Feda at the
Savoy
On Wednesday 21st February, Novell and ITS Feda jointly
hosted a dinner at the Savoy in London for key representatives of
the Education sector. This included representation from Schools,
Colleges, and Universities as well Jisc and the Learning Skills
Network.
The objective of the dinner was to have an open discussion about
how Novell and ITS Feda can better support the needs of the
Education market.
Topics discussed included the benefits of Linux and Open Source,
as well as how student provisioning could be automated by Identity
Management technologies. These conversations were jointly lead by
Andrew Ward, Chairman of ITS Feda Ltd and John Bainbridge, Partner
Sales Director, Novell Technical input was also received from Brian
Green Technical Director, Novell
John commented after the dinner - "It became apparent
to both Novell and ITS Feda that together we are able to offer the
Education market a viable alternative to Microsoft and the Education
representatives are very open to Novell's new offerings"

Correction to Training Brochure
Microsoft 5116 and 5117 Windows Vista
configuration courses to merge
As is always the case information came through about a change to
courses in our new training guide just after it went to press. In a
correction to the information on pages 15 and 16 of the guide
Microsoft have announced that in response to feedback on the Beta
version of these courses they will now be merged.
Course 5117 will no
longer exist and the content will be incorporated in course 5116
which will be extended to 2 days. We are still awaiting the updated
course outline from Microsoft and will amend the information on our
website as soon as we have it. Meanwhile if you would like to check
out the latest on our courses online please visit www.itsgroup.org.uk/training
and if you would like a training guide and have

New Microsoft
Office 2007 BrainStorm cards released The range of these popular user reference
cards has expanded again. Microsoft Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
2007 cards have now been released to add to the Word 2007 card
already out. A Vista desktop card will also be coming soon.
These quick and affordable tools often act as a lifeline to users
facing new technologies and are highly recommended by many of our

server 2006 Released The ever improving ISA server product has a
new incarnation; this smaller upgrade has some nifty features
including the ability to now securely publish SharePoint web

Books We’ve made some changes to our books
services that we think you’ll like.
- We have
bowed to popular demand and from now on all of our Microsoft
Office curriculum books will be ring bound for easier classroom
use.
- We have
also moved printers and will now bringing a faster turnaround on
the majority of orders.
- Finally we are in the last
stages of organising a new shipping rate to make it easier for you
to budget and to order.
