The SUSE Team have remastered the SUSE Linux 10.1 ISO
images
If you downloaded the ISOs before the 13th of October the
ITS Feda Helpdesk staff heartily recommend that you read
and act on this.
This new release combines the 10.1 GM and all online updates
released for 10.1 so far (until Oct, 9), including libzypp, which
should make the installing and working experience much smoother
for everyone. [NB: Do the following only if you have
downloaded the ISOs before Oct, 13] The DVD versions of SUSE
Linux contain some proprietary components such as Adobe Acrobat
Reader, RealNetworks RealPlayer, Sun Java Runtime Environment,
Macromedia Flash Player etc. The CD version of SUSE Linux contains
only open source components. If needed CD6 (Addon CD) can be
downloaded which provides some proprietary components as on the
DVD versions. You can download the first CD
for minimal installation, the first three for standard German and English KDE
or GNOME installation, the five CDs for other languages and extra
software, or the six CDs or the DVD.
